’My sister was given a rescue cat to make adoptable. It was terrified of people. She ended up passing out to me to try. I was living in her basement and it escaped into the ceiling and hung out on top of the vent and support beams. She was bloody cute though. She seemed like she wanted to be friends but got too scared if you got close. She'd come down to eat when I was sleeping and jump back up if I moved to fast lol. Sometimes she'd hide under a blanket and she'd feel safe enough under the blanket that she would let you pet her. She'd even go to sleep in bed with you if she was under a blanket. She was getting closer and closer to allowing human contact outside of blankets but then I broke my leg and couldn't make it down stairs anymore. Damn shame. Miss that beautiful little kitty.’

’The house I grew up in had a half-assed extension on it. There was an archway between two halves of the room and the previous owners had just put boards up over the old eaves instead of removing them or anything that could actually be called finishing. There were a couple boards missing from the cover, and my cat liked to climb up the archway like it was a tree and then get up into the eaves because she could explore the length of the house. The only problem was she hadn't quite figured out how to get *down*. My bed was in the new part (with the old eaves) and since she didn't know how to climb down, she would instead jump down onto my bed. I woke up more than once to the sight of my cat flying at my face, legs akimbo, claws out.’
